Collinsville, IL (KSDK) - The driver of a pick-up truck was injured early Tuesday after losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a guard rail on Interstate 255.
The accident was just after midnight in the northbound lanes of the highway just south of Collinsville Road according to the Illinois State Police.
After the truck collided with the rail, the vehicle burst into flames. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and was transported to an area hospital. The drivers condition was not immediately know, but the injuries were reportedly not life- threatening.
No word on what caused the driver to lose control of the truck prior to the crash.
