Centralia, IL (KSDK) - Budget cuts are striking again in Illinois.
The latest victims include a lab that tests animals and meat for diseases.
The Centralia facility analyzes blood samples from pets and livestock to make sure they don't pose any threats to other animals or to humans.
Workers also provide research to farmers on what to feed their animals.
The lab is set for closure this August.
