Hitchcock wins Jack Adams Award

(KSDK)  St. Louis Blues coach Ken Hitchcock has won the NHL's Jack Adams Award, signifying the league's Coach of the Year.

"Hitch" guided the Blues to a 43-15-11 record (97 points) after being hired to replace Davis Payne in November.  The Blues won their first divsion title since 2000, and advanced to teh second round of the playoffs.

This is the first time the 60-year old Hitchcok has won the Adams trophy.

Ottawa''s Paul MacLean and the New York Rangers' John Tortorella were the other finalists.
