West St. Louis County (KSDK)- A driver who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch near the intersection of Wild Horse Creek and Highway 109 is hospitalized this morning.
Investigators say after the car left the road, it bounded down a slight embankment and flipped over onto its side about 50 feet off the pavement.
Monarch Fire District Rescue personnel worked for more than a half hour reaching and the freeing the injured victim from the wreckage of the vehicle.
The unidentified driver was airlifted from the crash scene to a nearby hospital with what are believe to be non life threatening injuries.
No immediate word on what caused the driver to crash.
