St. Louis County, Mo (KSDK) -- A 54-year-old Chesterfield man pleaded guilty on Friday to involuntary manslaughter and assault in the death of Janet Esrock.

Patrick McCormick is expected to be sentenced in August.  The state recommended seven years in prison.

Esrock, a Whitfield teacher and coach, was critically injured in a head-on crash along Wildhorse Creek Road in Chesterfield on August 26.  She later died from her injuries.  Her son was treated at an area hospital and released.

Esrock had been with Whitfield School since 2003 and her son, Jonathon, is a student there. Esrock's other two children are Whitfield graduates.
