Lawton, OK (KSWO/CNN) - Summer is bringing the heat in parts of the U.S.
Temperatures reached a whopping 113 degrees in Lawton, Oklahoma Tuesday.
The Salvation Army helped those in need cool off for free.
The agency passed out free fans and some air conditioners as part of their annual "Fans for Friends" campaign.
The program helps about 160 families in the Lawton area each summer.
