Lake Ozarks, MO (KSDK) - A soldier turned quadruple amputee will receive the keys to his dream house Thursday.

Marine Corporal Todd Nicely will be living at the Lake of the Ozarks in a home that accommodates his needs, thanks to funds raised by national charities supporting America's armed forces.

On March 26, 2010, Cpl. Nicely stepped on a pressure plate mine after bringing his squad back from a security patrol in Afghanistan. The plate exploded and left Nicely without his legs and arms. He was not expected to survive but has made a miraculous recovery over the last two-plus years.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Gary Sinise Foundation joined together to build Nicely a "smart home" at the location of his choice. The two foundations began building last October after a fundraiser concert in St. Louis.

The keys will officially be handed over to Corporal Nicely and his wife at 11 a.m. at their home at 544 Cambridge Drive in Lake of the Ozarks. The general public is welcome to attend.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Gary Sinise Foundation work to help veterans and their families in need. For more information visit www.GarySiniseFoundation.org or www.TunneltoTowers.org.
