MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - A family spokesman says the body of a 4-year-old boy missing in mid-Michigan has been found, a week after his disappearance.
Kevin Chamberlain says Carnel Chamberlain's body was found Thursday, buried under a wood porch at the boy's home.
The boy disappeared on June 21 while in the care of his mother's boyfriend. He was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe near Mount Pleasant and lived in a house on the reservation, 70 miles north of Lansing.
Searchers from local, state and federal agencies had checked woods, ponds and the tribe's wastewater treatment pools.
