St. Louis (KSDK) - With the extreme heat comes the concern of power outages or "brown-outs."
Ameren is working to keep all the power grids up and running.
On Friday morning, Dave Wakeman, Vice President of Energy Delivery, joined us live from Ameren's nerve center in St. Louis.
Wakeman explains how an extended heat wave can affect the power grid, and whether people should try to cut back on electricity use.
