San Jose, CA (KSDK) - Fifteen. That's how old St. Louisian Sarah Finnegan is. While she has lot of years ahead of her, this weekend she could accomplish the dream of a lifetime: making it to the Olympics.
She now has Sunday to look ahead to. I caught up with two former Olympians to get their opinions of Sarah and her chances to get to London.
Tim Daggett, former Olympian, said, "Phenomenal gymnast. Such an elegant performer. Maybe the best dancer and overall artist that's on the floor."
Shannon Miller, former Olympian, said, "She can bring a really strong score. Has one of the most difficult start values on balance beam in the world."
Finnegan will need a great performance on Sunday, which is the final day of this competition. As soon as it ends, the Olympic team will be announced.
Just five women will represent the US in London. I'll be here for that announcement and will have reaction from finnegan and her family regardless of the outcome.
