St. Louis, MO (KSDK)- Ameren Missouri crews have worked throughout the night to restore power to some widespread outages throughout the metropolitan area.
The largest affected area was in St. Charles County where several thousand customers were in the dark. The total at 4:25 a.m. Monday indicated approximately 3000 customers in the Harvester and Weldon Spring areas of the county, but power was restored just after 6:00 a.m.
As of Monday morning; the number of customers still without power had dropped significantly in the metropolitan St. Louis area, with several dozen customers still waiting to get the lights back on.
Most of the earlier outages were in the north St. Louis County area around St. John and Overland, although there were also more than 100 cusutomers powerless in south city. Most of those interuptions have been repaired.
All power is expected to be restored Monday morning.
