St. Louis County, Mo (KSDK) -- Several sessions of rock blasting and brief closures of I-270 in west St. Louis County are canceled because of the Fourth of July holiday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation has been closing the interstate in both directions from Interstate-44 to Manchester this summer. The closures have been happening weekdays at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for 15 minutes.
The 1:30 p.m. closure on July 3 and both sessions on July 4 have been canceled.
The rock blasts are part of a widening project.
