Unincorporated St. Louis County, Mo (KSDK) - Firefighters battled a house fire in north St. Louis County early Tuesday, braving the fire itself and the hot weather.
No cause has been detected at this point in the investigation, but fire investigators believe the fire started on the porch of the home in the 1300 block of River Oaks Court.
Firefighters responded to the call just around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday and found heavy flames on the back side of the home reaching to the roof.
The family living in the home were able to escape unharmed, however fire and smoke damage was significant. American Red Cross officials responded to the fire scene to assist the unidentified family.
