Missouri Highway Patrol cracks down on speeders

St. Louis (KSDK) -- The message is clear this Fourth of July holiday season, slow down in construction zones.

The Missouri Department of Transportation launched a construction zone campaign to raise awareness and save the lives of highway workers.

Missouri State Highway patrol will be out in full force patrolling the work zones. 

In Missouri, drivers faces a minimum of a $250 fine for speeding through a work zone.  Drivers can face a $10,000 fine for killing, or injuring a highway worker.
