St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The extreme weather can really take a toll on your trees, but there are a few things you can do to save them.

Heidi Glaus got some advice from Don Moeller, a certified arborist with Ray's Tree Service.

Moeller says deep watering is essential to a tree's survival during these conditions.

He also suggests using a drip or soaker hose and says to be sure to keep the soil moist all the way to the tree's drip line.
