St. Louis, MO (KSDK) -- It was anything but a slow night for St. Louis firefighters.
Firefighters battles a series of overnight fires, including some fire investigators suggest could've been ignited by stray fireworks although nothing has yet been confirmed.
Calls for fire service started early and often for the department as they responded to blazes three separate fires in the area of North Newstead and Natural Bridge, including one in the 2200 block of Newstead, another on St. Ferdinand near Cottage and a fire in the 3600 block of Newstead.
Around 4:00 a.m. on July 5, another house was burning in the 8200 block of Church Street in the Baden neighborhood.
Other calls included a south St. Louis fire that destroyed a garage in the 3700 block of Michigan and a grass fire that was burning along Interstate 44 near Jefferson Avenue.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires, but property damage was significant.
