University City, MO (KSDK) - A 26-year-old graduate of Washington University Law School drove his vehicle into a vacant building in University City late Friday afternoon.
According to University City police, the accident occurred at the intersection of Midland and Delmar around 5:10 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle declined to be interviewed on camera, but said he was traveling with his wife and a pet at the time of the accident. The man said his floor mat got stuck on the accelerator, so he made the decision to run the car into a vacant building instead of hitting traffic.
