St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged a 22-year-old local man in connection with last month's shooting death of 27-year-old Conrad Adams in the Baden neighborhood.
According to Katie O'Sullivan, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting took place June 12 at 10:05 p.m. in the 8900 block of Edna Street.
Officers were called to the scene for a shooting and located Adams lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators learned the suspect, identified as James Turner, was sitting in a car with the victim. When the victim got out of the suspect's car, he was shot.
O'Sullivan said Turner was arrested some time later.
James Turner was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. He remains jailed on $500,000 cash-only bond.
