St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Shakespeare Festival St. Louis will put on the show 'Twelfth Night' next summer.
Rick Dildine, executive director of the festival, made the announcement Friday. The annual outdoor festival is held at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park.
'Twelfth Night' is a comedic play featuring twins separated in a shipwreck, cross-dressing and misguided love. It is believed to have been written in the early 1600's. The play will run from May 24 through June 16.
The past season's showing of 'Othello' drew more than 66,000 people, and in the 12 years the festival has been running, more than 550,000 people have attended performances.
