(KSDK) -- All week, some of St. Louis' favorite radio personalities are stopping by the Show Me kitchen to prepare their favorite dishes.
WIL 92's Judi Diamond prepared a vegetarian pasta dish.
"Judi's Fake Meat Pasta":
1 Bag either Boca or Morning Star Meatless Ground Crumbles
1 Box Pasta (I like Bowtie or Rotini usually)
1 Jar your favorite pasta Sauce (I like to go locally with Taste Of The Hill)
4-5 cloves garlic minced
4-5 TBS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
21 Seasoning Salute from Trader Joes
Slightly cook the garlic in the heated olive oil on medium. After about a minute, add in the Meatless Ground Crumbles. Cook on Medium until heated through. It cooks fast so be careful!
In the meantime follow the directions on your pasta and cook it Al Dente.
After the Meatless mixture is heated through, add in the jar of pasta. Season to taste with the 21 Salute. Simmer on low for about 5-7 minutes to let the tastes blend and develop.
Remove from stove. Layer the pasta on a plate, add the meatless sauce mix on top, sprinkle with Parmesean and serve!
Tasty with garlic bread and salad as a side!
