St. Charles County, Mo (KSDK) - One teenager was killed and another seriously hurt in a rollover crash late Monday in St. Charles County.
Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol say 16-year-old Emily Herberger, of Foristell, lost control of her westbound Chevrolet Camaro and crashed into a mailbox just after 11 p.m. Monday.
The impact of the crash flipped the car over and across the highway pavement where it slammed into a road sign and then rolled back onto its wheels on the opposite side of Highway N just east of Ellerman Oaks Drive.
Herberger was pronounced dead a short time later. A passenger in the car, Alivia Nolting, 16, of Wentzville, was transported to an area hospital with what were termed moderate injuries.
Officials say Herberger was not wearing a seat belt, Nolting was.
