St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - Robert Quinn, the St. Louis Rams' first-round draft pick in 2011, was arrested for DWI earlier this month, the Florissant Police Department said Thursday.

According to Officer Andy Haarmann, a police spokesman, the incident occurred just before 5:40 a.m. on July 10.

Police were responding to a single vehicle accident on the exit ramp of eastbound I-270 at Washington/Elizabeth.

Robert Quinn was charged with DWI and two additional traffic charges.  He posted bond and was released from jail that morning after posting a cash bond.

Haarmann said Quinn cooperated fully with police.

Robert Quinn, a defensive end, was drafted 14th overall by the Rams in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of North Carolina.

The St. Louis Rams released a brief statement Thursday afternoon, indicating they had been made aware of Robert Quinn's arrest.

"We take such matters very seriously, and we will act accordingly once the legal process plays out," the statement read.
