Aurora, CO -- Jessica Redfield, an NHL blogger based in Denver, was one of the 12 reported fatalities in a shooting in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater.

A gunman, who is in custody, stood at the front of the theater and fired into the crowd about 12:30 a.m. MT at a multiplex theater in a mall in Aurora, police said.

Redfield had been tweeting friends prior to the start of The Dark Knight Rises, her last post read:

"@jessespector MOVIE DOESN'T START FOR 20 MINUTES"

Redfield was also at the scene of the Eaton Centre shooting in Toronto in June, and the last entry of her personal blog recounts that event:

"I can't get this odd feeling out of my chest. This empty, almost sickening feeling won't go away. I noticed this feeling when I was in the Eaton Center in Toronto just seconds before someone opened fire in the food court. An odd feeling which led me to go outside and unknowingly out of harm's way. It's hard for me to wrap my mind around how a weird feeling saved me from being in the middle of a deadly shooting."

Redfield, whose given name is Jessica Ghawi, recently moved from San Antonio to Denver where she was interning at 104.3 The Fan.

Jessica's brother wrote a blog with updates on Jessica and the theater shooting.

You Can Play Project, where Redfield interned, tweeted the following:

@YouCanPlayTeam - Our staff is despondent today over the loss of our intern Jessica Redfield. We will miss her intelligence, kindness, and work ethic greatly.
