O'Fallon, MO (KSDK) - We first brought you this story Sunday night at 10 p.m. After learning about the Colorado theater shooting, 15-year-old Nate Williams wanted to help.

So, with an old Japanese proverb in mind that says "he who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish," Nate set out to amass 1,000 cranes to be sent to the Century 16 theater as a showing of support for the shooting victims.

After our story aired, Nate's mom got a call from Kernz Group Fine Arts Express, a St. Louis company, who says it will ship the cranes at the end of the week for free.

Nate, his family and friends are working around the clock, folding away.

They'll meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Starbucks at Laura Hill and Highway K in O'Fallon, Missouri.

If you'd like to help, they'll be there until the coffee shop closes.
