Rural Franklin County (KSDK) - Missouri Highway Patrol officials say a Sullivan man who was riding his motorcycle along Highway K south of Piney Park in Franklin County Tuesday apparently got fell ill before crashing the motorcycle into a ditch.
Troopers responded to the scene just after 5:00 Tuesday afternoon just south of Plum Ford Road and located 76 year old Frank Carwitz already dead.
Investigators say evidence shows Carwitz was southbound on Highway K; suffered an undisclosed medical emergency, and drove off the right side of the road into the ditch.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:20 p.m. yesterday.
