Ferguson, MO (KSDK) - It's a modern day David and Goliath story.
Ferguson resident Karl Tricamo planted a garden in his front yard to help feed his family. But inspectors said it violated city code and told him to get rid of it.
Tricamo decided not to obey and after four months of fighting, came out on top.
Check out the video above to hear how Tricamo took on city hall and won.
Tricamo also documented his struggles with the city in his blog, vegetableyarden.wordpress.com.
Ferguson's Public Works Director chose not to comment about the case and a call to the city's attorney was not returned.
