(KSDK) - A wrong way driver was killed in a traffic accident Sunday morning on Interstate 64 in Chesterfield.
Lt. Steve Lewis with Chesterfield Police said his department received a call this morning at 3:30 a.m. for a serious accident in the westbound lanes of I-64 about one mile west of Boone's Crossing.
18-year-old Nicholas Watson was driving his car eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-64. His car sideswiped a Greyhound bus then collided with car traveling westbound.
Both cars were heavily damaged in the crash.
Watson was killed in the accident.
57-year-old Mary Radcliffe, who was driving the other car, was injured and transported to an area hospital. She is in stable condition.
52-year-old Andrew Williams, the driver of the Greyhound bus, and 27-year-old Jefferson Scott, a passenger on the bus, were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. They were both treated and released.
Lt. Lewis is says the Chesterfield Police Department is continuing their investigation and hope to learn why the man was driving the wrong way on the interstate.
