St. Louis (KSDK) - Separate water main breaks in St. Louis are keeping water division crews busy Tuesday morning.
One of the breaks is in north St. Louis near Fairgrounds Park at Clarence and Carter. The other break is in south city, in the 200 block of Maury near Tower Grove Park.
No information was available on the north side break.
Water Division officials say the South City break involves a six- inch main that ruptured and buckled the pavement on Maury and spilled water over a two block area.
Residents who had their vehicles parked on the street were woken up to move their vehicles away from the buckling pavement.
Repair crews are working to fix both of the breaks.
Initial information on the south St. Louis situation indicated water service could have some interruptions for customers for in the area along Maury between Flora and Cleveland. It could six to eight hours to repair the break.
