Columbia, IL (KSDK) - Three people were taken to a hospital in Columbia following a two-vehicle accident on Route 3 Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred at Route 3 and North Main Street.
The female driving of one car was seriously injured and rushed to St. Anthony's Hospital. The other vehicle had a mother and two small children. They were not seriously injured but also brought to St. Anthony's as a precaution.
The highway was closed from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Police are still investigating the accident. Charges may still be filed in the case depending upon the outcome of that investigation.
