St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Police investigators say a 42 year old shooting victim was apparently too inebriated to identify his attacker.
Investigators responded to the shooting in the 5500 block of West Florissant Avenue just before 2:00 a.m. Saturday and found the victim who had been shot in the upper leg.
The victim told police he was walking when another man approached him and shot him, before the gunman fled.
Authorities were attempting to get a description from the victim on the gunman before he was transported to an area hospital, but indicated in their incident report that the unidentified victim was intoxicated and unable to provide any additional information on the suspect.
Late Saturday morning, St. Louis Police say they later learned the gunman was a blck male in his twenties with a medium build and wearing a gray doo rag.
