St. Louis, MO (KSDK) -- St. Louis County is reporting its fourth heat-related death this summer.
The victim, a 76-year-old Lemay man, was discovered dead by his son in his home on the 700 block of Military Drive on July 10, and officials certified his death as heat-related on Wednesday.
Officials say that the man's air-conditioning was not operating. His home was made of brick with no central air and the temperature inside the home was estimated to be between 90 and 95 degrees.
St. Louis County Health Department urges residents to take appropriate precautions to stay safe during extreme heat.
