North St. Louis (KSDK) - St. Louis Police say they have arrested a man they believe was involved in the shooting of another motorist late Thursday in north St. Louis.
Authorities say a 32 year old man was driving on Union Boulevard around 9:00 p.m. when another vehicle drove past and opened fire, striking the victim in the chest.
The shooting occurred just outside the North Patrol office of the Metropolitan Police Department. Several officers outside the district office saw the commotion and when the alleged shooter bailed from his car, police officers gave chase and apprehended the man at Union and Margaretta and recovered a gun.
The victim was listed in critical condition this morning at an area hospital. His name is not being released.
Investigators say they have not established a motive for the attack and have not been able to interview the victim who was shot at this point in the investigation.
