Hillsdale police shoot suspect

Hillsdale, MO (KSDK) - A man was shot by police early Saturday morning after firing multiple shots at officers.

Hillsdale police were called to the 6100 block of Greer Avenue around 2 a.m. for a noise complaint.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a man armed with two handguns.

The man shot multiple times at officers, who returned fire, striking the suspect. No officers were injured.

The suspect was taken to an area hospital. His condition has not been released.

The shooting is being investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department.

The two officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, which is standard procedure in an officer-involved shooting.
