Florissant (KSDK) - On Marquette in Florissant Friday, Jeaneen Taylor awakened to find a swastika in her front yard the day after she and her five kids moved in.

Somebody apparently poured something that would kill the grass, in the shape of a swastika.

Home owner Earnestine Dumaka said she has contacted police.

"They go to sleep Thursday night," said Dumaka, "and wake up Friday morning.  The safety and security I thought I was giving them I felt was in jeopardy when she woke up and found that in the front yard.  And I was hoping it didn't disturb her spirit as she wanted to move."

Taylor said, "To me it's just the ignorance of people."

The homeowner has contacted Florissant Police.
