ST. LOUIS (AP) - Several St. Louis-area police departments and hospitals are working together on a project aimed at keeping kids safe from guns.
Project Child Safe is working with police departments in St. Louis city and county and many neighboring departments, along with hospitals, on both sides of the river in the metro area.
Plans call for distributing gun locks at several locations between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday. A complete list of free giveway locations is on the St. Louis Police Department's website.
