St. Louis (KSDK) -- Get ready for this semester with educational apps.

I found apps for children, teens, and adults to get anyone through a school day, work day, or day at home.

If parents want to read to the kids, just open up the MeeGenius app and it's like having a library in your hands.

Mee Genius is for the iPhone, iPad, or Android. It's free to download.

Children can choose from hundreds of books, read their own or follow narration. Words highlight as it is read. As for reviews in the app store, one person says, "Every night, my daughter wants to read books with this app."

Next up, an app helpful for teens or older. Note Taker HD is $4.99 for the iPad. It's a high tech way to take notes by using your finger or iPad compatible stylus. It shrinks your writing to fit a lot on one page. It looks like it was written with a fine pen.

One reviewer says, "I have now significantly lightened the load in my backpack."

And now an app for any age.

iStudiez Pro costs 99 cents for the iPhone or iPad. Students, teachers, and parents might find this useful. It keeps track of your schedules, courses, and assignments. An alarm goes off for each event. There's also a GPA calculator.

One reviewer said, "The only way to stay organized in college."
