(WHDH) -- Police in Salem, New Hampshire say a man who did maintenance work on a woman's trailer rigged it with baby monitors to spy on her.

Christian Hobbs, 44, was arraigned on Thursday and is being held on $25,000 cash bail.

"I didn't see him personally, but I thought there was an animal in my house, and I went to go survey the area because I saw something not right. I went to go check out to see what it was and that was when he revealed himself," the victim said.

The victim said the suspect said even more when confronted.

"I said, What are you doing? Watching me go to the bathroom?and he said, 'No, no, no, I just got set up I didn't see anything yet,'" the victim said.

After the victim dialed 911, police arrested Hobbs without incident as he walked along a highway roughly a quarter mile from the trailer park.

"As they approached him, he basically told the officers, 'I'm the one who did it, I'm the one you're looking for," said Deputy Chief Shawn Patten, Salem New Hampshire Police Department.

Police say Hobbs used to own the trailer and sold it to the victim a couple of years ago.

He recently returned to the trailer to do some maintenance work.

Police claim Hobbs admitted to crawling under the trailer with power bars, drinks and tissue, and stayed for nearly two days, watching the victim and videotaping her in varying states of undress; he allegedly had 16 short clips on his cell phone.

Police photographed holes Hobbs had allegedly cut into the floor and into heating and AC ducts which allowed him to have a direct view into the bathroom.

Hobbs faces a laundry list of charges including producing child pornography, because he allegedly videotaped the victim's 4-year-old son as she gave the boy a bath.

"I hope he realizes where he's at, what he's really done," said the victim.

"He's an accident waiting to happen, and I thank God my niece didn't get severely hurt over this," said Greg Trepanier, the victim's uncle.
