Madison County, IL (KSDK) - A man who barricaded himself in a home in Granite City, Illinois has been charged.
Brandon J. Caple, 28, has been charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Police were called to a home on Carla Drive just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday for shots fired inside the residence.
Shots were fired from inside the home again while officers secured the perimeter around the home.
The Illinois State Police and SWAT team responded, and Caple was taken into custody early Friday morning.
Caple is hospitalized and will be arrested when he is released from receiving medical treatment.
Bail is set at $50,000.
