Wentzville, MO (KSDK) - A former Wentzville School District employee has been charged after accusations of sexual contact with a student.
Wentzville police say 29-year-old Victoria Reinke has been charged with two counts of second-degree statutory rape and one count of sexual contact with a student.
Reinke was taken into custody after a four month long investigation.
Matt Diechmann, Director of Community Relations for the Wentzville School District, says Reinke was an instructional assistant at Timberland High School.
The district placed Reinke on unpaid leave immediately after the allegations of misconduct surfaced, and notified law enforcement and the Children's Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services. Reinke then resigned from her position.
Police say they were notified by school officials March 29 that a complaint was received alleging Reinke had been involved in a relationship with a 16-year-old student for around five months.
No additional students were involved, and the incidents did not happen on school property.
Deichmann says although Reinke worked at Timberland, she also had contact with students from Holt High School.
