Police search for gunman after deadly shooting in south St. Louis

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - One man is dead, another hospitalized in serious but stable condition after a barrage of gunfire in south St. Louis.

The gunfire broke out around 9:10 p.m. Sunday outside a home in the 3300 block of Keokuk at Virginia.  Witnesses told police a silver Pontiac Grand Am stopped outside the home, one of the four people inside the car jumped out and began firing shots at the two victims.

One of the victims, 19-year-old James Hardy, was shot and killed at the scene.  The other victim, a 17-year-old, was wounded in the buttocks.

Authorities have no further description on the three people in the car, seen speeding away after the shooting.  No motive has been established at this point.
