St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Fire heavily damaged the third floor of a large home near between the mid town and central west end area's of St. Louis early Monday.

Firefighters arrived at the home in the 4200 block of McPherson around 2:45 a.m. and found heavy fire on the third from of the home.

Although it's believe the home is an occupied residence, no one was apparently inside at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The fire was contained to the third floor of the house, however the rest of the building also sustained smoke and water damage in the incident.

A cause for the fire has not been determined at this time.
