East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - The former mayor of Alorton, Illinois has been sentenced on corruption charges.
Randy McCallum, 47, was sentenced to 43 months in prison. He has been given 90 days before he has to report to prison to take care of medical issues. His lawyers told the judge he is on a list to receive a kidney transplant.
McCallum was part of a sting operation involving government corruption in Alorton. Former Police Chief Michael Baxter was also charged, and received 41 months in prison.
