St. Louis (KSDK) - Seven women were robbed in the 500 block of S. Broadway Wednesday evening.
Police say five of the victims were walking north on S. Broadway near Busch Stadium around 11 p.m. when they passed the first suspect who was leaning against a fence.
As the women passed him, he showed a black handgun and said, "I want five purses on the ground now! I want all your jewelry also!"
Four of the women placed their handbags on the ground. The fifth female kept walking.
A second suspect was sitting in a vehicle, and as two other females who were unaware of what was happening tried to walk by the group, they heard the suspect asking for the victims' property.
One of those women turned and started walking north, and the other tried to give the first suspect her property as he threatened her if she ran.
The suspect held all of the women at gunpoint and made them walk north on S. Broadway until they were able to motion for help.
The suspects left the area in a maroon or burgundy SUV. It may be a Ford Explorer or a Mercury Mountaineer.
Four purses, two cell phones, three wallets, cash, and various credit cards and identification was stolen from the first four victims.

He has short hair and was last seen wearing a long un-buttoned white jersey-type shirt with a grey t-shirt underneath, dark blue jeans, a faded dark-colored ball cap. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
