ST. LOUIS (AP) - A portion of Interstate 55 in St. Louis will be named in honor of a fallen city police officer.
A dedication ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday in Kiener Plaza to commemorate the naming of the Julius K. Moore Memorial Highway.
Moore died in an accident while on duty in October 2009. He was responding to a call about a burglary suspect when his patrol car collided with a tractor-trailer. Moore was hospitalized for nine days before he died.
