Wentzville, MO (KSDK) - The Wentzville Police Department is asking for help from the public in investigating two incidents involving two men in a white van trying to speak to teen girls in the area of Peine Lake Estates.

Authorities say the incidents occurred on or around August 21 and more than one person has witnessed the vehicle in the area on more than one occasion.

The van is described as an older model white van (late 80s or early 90s) Dodge full-sized panel van. It does not have side windows in the back area. It has significant dents, dings, and damage, especially in the front grill. It has a very loud exhaust system.

The van also has signs on the side that say "Weed Man."

"Weed Man" is the name of a reputable business in St. Louis County, but police have determined the business only currently uses green vans. They believe the signs may have been stolen some time ago from the business and the incidents are unrelated and unconnected to these incidents.

Anyone who has seen a van fitting this description or knows anyone connected to this type of van should contact Detective David Thurman with the Wentzville Police Department at 636-639-2130 or the Wentzville Police Department dispatch line at 636-327-5105.
