St. Louis (KSDK) -- From fireworks to festivals, some organizers have cancelled their Labor Day weekend events in the St. Louis-area due to the rain from Isaac that is expected to move in.
Here is a list of cancellations:
--The Forks and Corks Festival at the Chesterfield amphitheater is cancelled because of the impending rain from Isaac expected in the St. Louis-area this weekend, according to the Monarch fire Protection District. The festival was suppose to include the July 4th fireworks that were postponed because of dry conditions.
--The Troy Rotary Club cancelled its fireworks display for September 2 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds due to Isaac.
--Moonlight Ramble rescheduled for Saturday, September 15. Packet pick-ups have been rescheduled for September 13 adn 14 at Big Shark. Riders can request a refund by emailing Ellie Sertic at email@example.com.
--Six Flags St. Louis tweeted Friday afternoon, "Due to Hurricane Isaac we will be altering our operating hours and cancelling fireworks for Saturday, please check our website for details."
--The constant rains forced the River City Rascals to postpone Friday night's game against the Windy City ThunderBolts and cancel the pregame Mizzou Pep Rally. The game will be made up as part of a double-header Saturday afternoon at 5:05 p.m. with two seven-inning games played. All tickets for Friday's game must be exchanged for Saturday or Sunday's games.
