St. Charles County, Mo (KSDK) -- The St. Charles County Division of Emergency Management wants residents to be on alert for flash flooding that could happen as a result of the rain from Isaac.

The heavy rainfall is expected to hit the St. Louis-area Friday through Saturday.

Heavy rainfall is likely to produce rapid and potentially hazardous rises in small creeks and streams. Flash flooding associated with runoff is also likely in urban areas.

People are reminded to never walk or drive through water covering the road.
