Rolla, MO (KSDK) - Officials with Mark Twain National Forest are asking visitors to take precautions this weekend due to extreme weather that is expected.

The National Weather Service is forecasting several inches of rain with wind gusts possibly up to 35 miles an hour.

Visitors are asked to stay away from river banks and rock bars due to the potential of flash flooding, and to monitor the conditions on low water crossings.
