St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged 27-year-old Joseph Haring with robbing a local bank.
Haring is charged with robbing the Reliance Bank in Fenton Wednesday morning.
Police say he walked into the bank around 9:25 a.m. and demanded money. They say he then left the scene in a silver Honda Ridgeline and drove east onto Interstate 44.
No injuries were reported in the robbery.
The Ridgeline had been reported stolen the day before the bank robbery, and was recovered later on Wednesday near the intersection of Hampton and Chippewa.
Police were hadidentified Haring as a person-of interest early in the investigation.
On Friday morning a man ran out in front of an Abbott ambulance on I-44 at I-70, and a few hours later that person was identified as Haring. Authorities do not know if this was an accident or a suicide attempt.
He is listed in critical condition at an area hospital.
