Drive-by shooting in midtown St. Louis leaves teenager injured

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - An unidentied 17 year old is hospitalized in stable condition this Labor Day morning, after he was shot in the elbow in a drive-by shooting.

St. Louis Police responded to the incident at 12:25 a.m. this morning and found the victim.  Investigators say the young man had just gotten out of his car after parking the vehicle in the 3200 block of Olive near Compton when the gunmen drove past and opened fire.

The victim was struck just the one time by flying bullets, however his vehicle also sustained damage after being struck by several other randon shots.

Two men in the white Pontiac Grand Prix then fled the scene of the ambush in an undisclosed direction.
